Social Activities

a party at the Blandford club

Social activities abound and include The Annual Blandford Club Blueberry Bridge (card games), The Turning Off the Water Party, eight Tennis Parties during the summer, weekly golf Nine and Dine golf scrambles followed by dinner or cocktails, Wednesday Afternoon Bridge, Poker Night, and more are all thanks to enthusiastic members. Golf leagues for men and women as well as numerous tournaments keep members busy to the degree they wish. Please see the Events Calendar page for more information.

Many of the Club members are summer residents of the Berkshires of Western Mass. The Club is a great way to meet people and make friends. Members often get together in the winter in Florida and other southern states.

"Being new to the Berkshires we looked for a golf club but after joining Blandford we found it was much more than a place to play golf. We met most of our summer friends at the club and enjoy every minute of it" Roberta O.

The Blandford Club facilities include a banquet room, lodging rooms upstairs for members' out of town guests, plus a card room, pro shop, and snack bar. It's not hard to stay all day: golf in the morning, lunch at the snack bar, then a foursome of bridge or tennis in the afternoon. Members use the hall to host wedding receptions, anniversary parties, concerts and family reunions catered by the finest area cooks.

In 2009 we celebrated the first 100 years since the founding of the Club with a week of special events culminating with a dinner dance and golf scramble with members dressed in period costumes.
